Trustee Guidance- PPF
Welcome to the Trustee Guidance section of our website. This section aims to provide trustees of eligible occupational pension schemes with detailed guidance on the process required to take a pension scheme through the assessment period for possible transfer into the Pension Protection Fund following an employer insolvency.
The guidance in this section has been split into four sections:
- The regulation of pension schemes and our powers. This section provides you with details of the approach to regulating schemes entering the assessment period.
- The Trustee Good Practice Guide. This guide will help you understand more about the assessment period at a high level, what the PPF will expect from you during this period, the principles and skills we expect you apply and what you can expect from your caseworker.
- Detailed Guidance about progressing the scheme through the assessment period and the key activities that need to be undertaken.
- Tools. The PPF has developed a suite of key tools and templates to assist you through the assessment period.
