Corporate Secretarial Assistant 


Salary - £25k pro rata
Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover)

Role is part time, 21 hrs per week, all working patterns considered.

The Role
The role of the Corporate Secretarial Assistant is to support the Board Secretary in the smooth running of the Board, its Committees and the corporate secretariat.  This will include assisting in planning Board and Committee meetings, preparing papers for meetings and undertaking and following up action points.  The Corporate Secretarial Assistant will also assist with the preparation of papers for the Executive Committee and the Asset and Liability Committee. 

The post holder will be a contact point for Board Members and other senior members of staff and needs to be articulate, confident and helpful.  The post holder needs to acquire a good understanding of the Board Support function and of the organisation to enable them to answer queries and to progress meeting actions successfully. 

The Corporate Secretarial Assistant reports to the Board Secretary.  There are four members of the Board Support team:  the Board Secretary, the Deputy Board Secretary, the Assistant Board Secretary and the Corporate Secretarial Assistant.
