Alan Rubenstein 


Alan RubensteinPrior to joining the Pension Protection Fund as Chief Executive in April 2009, Alan Rubenstein was a Managing Director of Lehman Brothers.  At Lehman Brothers, Alan was responsible for establishing their Pensions Advisory Group, which brought together Lehman Brothers Equity, Fixed Income and Investment Banking services to pension funds and corporate plan sponsors.

Alan qualified as an actuary with Scottish Widows and then moved into senior executive positions in investment banking with BZW Asset Management, Lucas Varity Fund Management and Morgan Stanley.  Alan is a former Vice-Chairman of the NAPF, and chairman of its Investment Council.  He recently stepped down from the Management Board of the UK Actuarial Profession and as a Council Member of the Faculty of Actuaries, and is a former member of the Takeover Panel.
